Nothing shuts down. The account keeps working with all your data and every feature: the only thing you can't do is register new members until you move to a paid plan. Nobody loses access and you can still collect this month's fees.
No, and that is the difference with most free plans out there: you get access control, class bookings, the member app, automated messages, reports and everything else, exactly like any paid plan. The only thing that changes is how many members you can register. Turnstile and facial recognition integrations are quoted separately, same as on every other plan.
No. Your gym’s app, with your logo and name, is included in every plan, the free one too, and it’s free for your members. They install it from your link, without going through the Play Store or the App Store.
No. Locations come with every plan, the free one too, and adding them doesn’t change the price: the plan is based on the number of members across the whole gym, and a member who goes to two locations counts once. You add them from Settings, in the Branches card.

Yes. You start on the free plan and, once you pass the member cap, you move to the plan that fits without losing any data.
Yes. Everyone who uses a family plan is a member of your gym, with their own profile, so they count toward the number of members on your EasySocio plan, including the free plan’s limit. If three people use one person’s plan, that’s four members, even though the membership is charged only once.
